...there is only one PDP on the Plateau and its Chairman is Hon. Gyang Badung

Please, can you tell us who you are and what is your position?

My name is Emmanuel Macham, am the Publicity secretary of PDP Plateau State.

Sir, we’re made to understand that there are two factions in PDP at both the National and on the Plateau, what can you say about that?

Well, that question has been asked severally, but actually in PDP we know PDP is one under the leadership of distinguished Senator Ali Modu Sheriff who is the national chairman. Likewise in Plateau State since June, 2016, the National Chairman distinguished Senator Ali Modu Sheriff dissolved,nullifies the entire congress in Plateau State. So since then, until the swearing in of the substantive exco on the 9^th December, last year, PDP had no exco.

Now in Plateau State we have only one PDP headed by Honourable Gyang Badung and we have a lot of groups inside the PDP which Sango is Chairman of one of the groups under the party.

Sir, sorry to interrupt you then what can you say about the other faction of Makarfi and the other faction on the Plateau?

Well as I said earlier the national certificate is with Senator Ali Modu Sheriff, so we are the authentic PDP in Plateau, any other group is a group existing within the PDP.

Sir, what are the future plans of your own faction on the Plateau, because 2019 is around the corner?

Well you insist faction, faction, there is no faction, it is not a faction.

Yes, because 2019 is just around the corner, sir so what are your future plans?

Yes! Our plans for the party is that the party is first and any other interest follows after the party. What is in our mind now, is to build a very strong, formidable PDP, that our forefathers labored for  so that is our major concern now and our plans will depend on our way forward as a people.

As a follow up question; and what can you also say about the present party in power on the plateau?

Well the APC government, though our house is in disarray and once you are to approach something or let me say when you are going for an encounter you have to put your house in order first. What we are more concern about is putting our house in order first then thinking…Nigerians are disappointed so many things went wrong and are still going wrong. Nigerians are looking up to PDP. Then inside the PDP we have a little challenge but once we are through with our challenge believe you me all will be well.
