The Return of The Peacemaker; Abubakar Sidique Sam Sumana

The plane touched down at exactly 12:00pm on the 14th of April, 2017 as the most awaited occupant of the plane Chief Alhaji Abubakar Sidique Sam Sumana disembarked into the waiting arms of an elated and joyous crowd of followers. As he walked towards them he waived at them amidst cheers and shouts of welcome.
It will be recalled that, Sam Sumana as he is popular called, before his controversial ouster as Vice President of Sierra Leone a position he humbly occupied since the inception of the first term of the president, HE. Earnest Bai Koroma. Until their irreconcilable difference which led to series of court cases and subsequent departure of Sam Sumana from Sierra Leone. He was replaced with Victor Bockarie Foh.

Sam Sumana, took the decision to take a leave from the political issues in Sierra Leone for the love of his people and respect for constituted authorities. He how ever decided to stay away until his present return.
Reporting from Freetown, our reporter, M. Tarawalie, said that it was not surprising that the love he showed to his people was reciprocated on his return, when a mammoth crowd followed him from the airport to his private residence. Our reporter said that it turned out to be a carnival with supporters carrying placards and banners with inscriptions of Sam's peaceful nature and the need to go out and register in preparation for the forthcoming general elections in 2018.
That since coming back from Ghana on the 14th of April 2017, where he had been since 15th of October, 2015, he had emphasized that all Sierra Leoneans go out and register; its your right to register and it is free and that they conduct their affairs in peaceful manner. Although our reporter was not granted an interview upon his return, but very soon we will get the gentle, soft spoken and man of peace to talk to us. Being a cautious man who only speaks for the benefit of Leoneans, when he so elects to speak we will make it exclusive.

Once more welcome back man of peace!
