THE BEAUTIFUL SCENERY FROM THE ATLANTIC OCEAN

Sierra Leone, from the Atlantic Ocean, has several beaches along the shore of the mainland, one not far from the west-end of Freetown is Lumley beach beautifully adorning the landscape of this God blessed Country, Sierra Leone.

Sierra Leone derives its name from the beautiful rocky and mountainous formations. As found on beaches all over the world, the Lumley beach has several beach houses and clubs dotting the landscape. Lumley beach is a peaceful place to visit.

Positioned at one of the club houses, one will see fishermen at the shoreline at their business hauling to the mainland their catch for the day. A view from another angle brings to the scene tourists walking the length of the beach while some sit to absorb the sun and the refreshing Atlantic air.

For those in the habit of meditating, the Lumley beach is a perfect place to suck in nature and be at one with the universe. It is quiet, every day, as all that permeates your ears drum are chitchats going on in the not too distance gossips, the sound from the Atlantic, occasional sounds from the birds and few vehicular activities, except weekends and festive periods which often tend to bring about convergence of mammoth crowd unwinding, having fun and feasting  on nature.

At one of such occasions, while at Lumley beach with his friends, our Freetown Correspondence, M. Tarawalie, came across a group of youths high spirited and having fun. He and his friends engaged this group of young persons and formed a crew for a day to interact. In the course of which he got to know that one of the young girls, who was ecstatic and could not hold back on her aspirations and plans for a better tomorrow, is an aspiring model. Her demeanor represents the talents scattered all over Sierra Leone, working hard to overcome the hurdles before them and succeed.
In her own words, "I am Esther Will a Sierra Leone model. The modeling industry in Freetown is just cool. However, it is always from one hard work to the other to improve our talent and hopefully break onto the international modeling  stage. I combine work, school and training every day hoping that with a struck of luck I will get that big break. With the words of encouragement I get from love ones and prayers, I believe that very soon I will receive a call up. The favourite spot for modeling in Sierra Leone is Freetown. I derive my strength from being out spoken and being positively minded. I love Lumley beach. I love eating rice with potato leaf soup."

It is so lovely from the Atlantic looking on, towards the mainland of Sierra Leone and behold all the beauties both natural and human imbued therein. Indeed the Creator is fair to Sierra Leone, because no visitor will pay this country a visit and ever leave the same.
